Does having fun, trying new things, and gaining new skills sound like something you would like to do? Then the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course is the course for you.
You don’t have to be “advanced” to take it – it’s designed to advance your diving, so you can start right after earning your PADI Open Water Diver certification. The course helps build confidence and expand your scuba skills through different Adventure Dives. You try out different specialties while gaining experience under the supervision of your PADI Instructor. You log dives and develop capabilities as you find new ways to have fun scuba diving.
The PADI Advanced Open Water Course, allows you some flexibility to begin to explore the areas of diving you are most interested in. There are two required dives – Deep and Underwater Navigation – and you choose the other three, for a total of five dives. Some of the more popular in Malta are Wreck, Underwater Naturalist, and Night, but these are only a few options!
All hire of basic equipment, instructor, land transport to dive sites and certification card is included in the price. You will need learning materials for the course, which can either be a hard copy or online e-learning, which we can organize for you (this is an additional cost).
To enrol in the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course you must be; a (Junior) Open Water Diver at least 12 years old and are ready to step up and enrol in an Advanced Open Water Diver course. Young divers may only participate in certain Adventures Dives – we can provide you with more information on this.
If you’re already an Adventure Diver, you only need to complete two more Adventure Dives to earn the Advanced Open Water Diver certification.
