About Buddies

Buddies is a family run dive centre owned by Martin & Karen since 2009. The centre in the heart of Bugibba, on the north west of Malta. Martin the Course Director is in charge of the training and day to day running of the centre. Our team of hugely experienced instructors have built a reputation for excellent training and service, whilst never forgetting that diving is supposed to be fun!

Why choose Buddies for your internship?

We offer a comprehensive 3 month internship, where you will spend your days shadowing our instructors and learning how to respond to their needs as well as those of our customers and students. As a PADI Career Development Centre we are not interested in ticking boxes, we want to train our Divemasters to be part of the dive industry. Many of our Divemaster trainees continue on to become instructors and many of the current and previous staff at Buddies have come through this system. We not only teach you the Divemaster curriculum but you will become a valued member of the team. You will learn about dive planning, guiding, cylinder filling, equipment care and every other aspect of working at a busy custom centric dive centre.
